Position Overview:

The IBM Maximo Applications Implementation and Support Analyst is responsible for the successful implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of IBM Maximo Asset Management applications within the organization. The role involves working closely with business users, IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure that Maximo solutions align with business requirements, improve asset management processes, and deliver maximum value. The successful candidate will also provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Maximo-related processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maximo Implementation and Configuration:
    • Lead and manage the implementation of IBM Maximo Asset Management applications, including planning, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
    • Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective Maximo configurations and workflows.
    • Customize and configure Maximo applications to meet the specific needs of the organization, including asset tracking, work management, inventory control, and preventive maintenance.
  2. System Integration:
    • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Maximo with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, GIS, and SCADA systems.
    • Ensure seamless data flow between Maximo and other applications through effective interface development and maintenance.
  3. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide technical support for Maximo applications, addressing issues related to performance, functionality, and system errors.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical problems, working closely with end-users and IT teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
    • Maintain and monitor Maximo environments, including production, development, and testing environments.
  4. User Training and Documentation:
    • Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users on Maximo functionalities, best practices, and new features.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Maximo configurations, customizations, workflows, and integrations.
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for improving Maximo-related processes and systems, and implement enhancements to optimize performance and user experience.
    • Stay updated on the latest Maximo features, industry best practices, and emerging trends in asset management.
  6. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with IBM and other third-party vendors for technical support, software updates, and issue resolution.
    • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring that Maximo solutions meet business needs and deliver expected outcomes.
  7. Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure that Maximo implementations comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect Maximo applications and data from unauthorized access and threats.
  8. Reporting and Analytics:
    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards within Maximo to provide insights into asset performance, work management, and inventory control.
    • Use data analytics to identify trends, measure KPIs, and support decision-making related to asset management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IBM Maximo implementation, configuration, and support.
    • Proven experience in managing full-cycle Maximo implementations, from planning to deployment.
    • Experience with Maximo integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, GIS).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of IBM Maximo Asset Management applications, including Maximo modules, configurations, and workflows.
    • Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages, and Maximo MBO customization.
    • Knowledge of Maximo database architecture, application servers, and web servers.
    • Familiarity with integration tools and techniques, such as REST APIs, XML, and Web Services.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into Maximo configurations.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with vendors and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in IBM Maximo Applications (Any Certification)
  • Experience in a similar industry, such as manufacturing, utilities, or oil and gas.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices for IT service management.

Work Environment:

  • The role may require occasional travel to other company sites or customer locations.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard hours for system updates or urgent support needs.
